I've now had five foot amputation in the last 4 years, the. Length of time between each successive infection and amputation is decreasing with the last being 9 months apart. I understand that the amputations are likely to continue and I will lose more and it is likely that I will have a leg amputation. My question is what is average life expectancy I can expect, I'm 54, with a muscular build and generally good health other than diabetes?
