Hello, guys. My friends have a three years old son. However, it seems that that he has some speech problems. I think he has something that is called dysarthria. I would like to know what this is. Can anyone help me with this? I will appreciate it. Thanks for all your help. Bye!
Hello. Dysarthria is speech impairment. It is usually caused by brain injuries. Mouth, face or respiratory muscles are weak or have no strength at all. In that way, a person cannot articulate words properly. This is common for people who survive stroke. They can understand others, but cannot express. However, I am not sure about dysarthria with kids. You should consult with a specialist. I hope everything will be all right. Bye!
