From my knowledge of losing your virginity, it's consent between a male and female with the insertion of the penis and the hymen of the female being broken with the intercourse. I hope that helps what you were asking.
The above post is partially correct. The loss of a person's virginity simply means that penetration of genitals (i.e., penis is inserted into the vagina, or anus (as this is also sex)). The breaking of the hymen has absolutely NOTHING to do with the loss of virginity, for it can be broken during everyday activities.
