My name is Peter, I am 14 .I noticed that my mom is not well, but she don’t want to tell me what is going on. She is going to a therapy and after that she always says that she fell nauseous and she often vomits. I don’t know what that means, what is nausea?
Dear Peter, nausea is a feeling of sickness or discomfort in the stomach that may come with urge to vomit. Nausea is controlled by a part of the central nervous system that controls involuntary bodily functions. Vomiting can be caused by various things, such a smell, pain, poor blood flow, irritation or changes in a body caused by inflammation. If you mom is going to a therapy that means that she is ill. Therapy which can cause nausea and vomit are commonly: chemotherapy drugs and radiation therapy (directed at the gastrointestinal tract, liver, or brain). You should talk to her and I ask her to explain you what is her problem.
