Hello,

I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD three years ago and after that I finally could make some sense of my life and not consider myself to be a complete loser since I didn’t even managed to finish high school. The first medication my psychiatrist gave me was Dexedrine and it was helping me a lot at the start, but I don’t know if I’ve developed tolerance or what is happening, but Dexedrine just doesn’t help me concentrate any more.

I was reading up on alternative medications, and people mention that Desoxyn helped them when other meds failed, so what’s the difference between Desoxyn and Dexedrine?

Hi,

if you're looking for an ADHD medication that will give you more focus and help you concentrate, then Desoxyn might not be the right option. While I was on it I felt so relaxed and sleepy that I couldn't get much done. For me Adderall worked better because it keeps you more alert, even though it does come with some rather unpleasant side effects. But then again, every medication does.

That's why it would be best for you to discuss all the pros and cons with your doctor, until you find the right medication for you.
