:D :D i take dilaudid 8mg and a tylenol #4 four times a day. it helps me a little with my migraines. i recommend this regimen to anyone who has frequent severe migraines.Dude, Dilaudid 2mg??? That stuff is like what they give you after a surgery, it's like 10x stronger than morphine! For headaches? They should've given you Imitrex. It's designed just for headaches. Hope that helps.
you guys should try seeing a neurologist. there is a condition that is inflamation of the veins that go to your head that can give you headaches like these in the back of your head and people think they are migrains so therefore the migraine meds don't work
Well .I would like to say ,,for one what ever works for you is your business ,and that's all that matters .forget all the people that you no are gonna say your just look.n to get high . they don't no any thing that's go.n on in your life and shouldn't compare you to a story of there own mis-fortunes...This planet is a giant pharmaceutical..gold mind and we need these drugs weather you like it or not . they will in time find a cure to all most everything .only time and testing will tell ...just because you don't like the method don't condemn the cure . In between living and dieing there is only suffering so why won't the government let you feel good,, as they rob us in so many ways family that starve..... homeless and much much more ,,we can go on for ever about the pain and it affects all of us with pain mental and physically,,, this is the only country that says drugs are bad .they cover up how much doctors ,and lawyers and dentist lie...... yea the whole world is meant to be on drugs that have not a thing to do with your problem ,,If you are gonna screw me at least make it feel good ...to all you money hungry crooks ,17 operations and the meds get less and less and the pain gets worse...so to complete the circle let me score some thing that will make me feel good after all it's better then be in lied to my face . what a doctor gives me will only prove how right i have been all these years A real doctor treats the problem ..doesn't say you have one .. go to re -hab?????? The real truth .the end !!!!
i have had headaches, severe at times, but since I have a high paced lifestyle, didn't want to consider the "migraine" diagnosis. Headaches worsening the beginning of this year prompting me to push my doctor as once again, they were predominantly in the occipital area with migration down into my neck, upper back and shoulders......I have had MRI's in the past, issue with my right eye but all these signs didn't prompt anyone to look at a Chiari Malformation of CM......I am now scheduled for surgery in a couple of weeks and I can not wait!!! I am a perioperative RN but I can tell you, I am SO looking forward to having a new lifestyle, pain free!! Or less pain to say the least! Anyone having upper neck occipital pain, insist on your doctor/neurologist looking for the cerebellar tonsils herniating into the foramen magnum - not appealing to be having "brain" surgery but should be a relative simple procedure/recovery.......even though I have worked in the OR, it has been predominantly outpatient, I was not familiar with this condition & now just hoping I have no residual deficits after surgery. Once again, push and pry with your doctors until you get an answer!!
Dude IDK if you have ever had a full blown migraine but a "headache" and a "migraine" are VERY different......I have broken multiple bones and had very serious and painful injuries and I would take everyone of those things 10 times over than a single migraine for 5 minutes.......have you ever been in so much pain that you have vomited or that the only thought going through your head is that you want to the pain to stop and you would do ANYTHING to get it to stop.....cuz to me if you haven't had a full blown migraine (or very few other things) then you don't know pain.
I had bad headaches as well as back pain for over 30 years. Doctors seem to associate bad headaches with migraines and I was prescribed so many different migraine medication, I lost count. I was also put on different types of anti depressants because I must have just imagined the pain, anti anxiety melds, etc but nothing worked. An X-ray clearly showed that over the years my cervical spine was completely pulled straight from all the muscle spasms and I am now labeled with degenerative disc disease. If I take opioids early enough they can stop my headaches. If I wait to long they still work but I need a much greater dose. The only thing that I would suggest to try adding for those who deal with headaches caused my issues with the neck is muscle relaxants. If I take muscle relaxants like flexeril ( skeletal) I get extremely tired and can't function anymore but they do help with the cramping muscles that reduce the blood flow to the brain and cause the headaches. I hope this helps and just know you are not alone and the pain is not just your imagination.
Oh, I also was given dilaudid in the hospital before for a kidney stone, had a few of those, and it gave me a very bad headache so they had to give me other pain medicine to get rid of the headache. For my first stone a few years earlier I received Demerol and had no problems with it. I also experienced other side effects from the Dilaudid but that was the only strong pain med they had in that hospital.
