I admit that living healthy (eating healthy especially) is really one of the best things I could do for myself lately. Not only that I have managed to lose 10 kilos over three months, I included exercise three times a week and I am always full of energy! So, should I include tempeh in my meals, what vitamins can be found in it?

It is all about the mighty soy! It is made from soybeans via fermentation process. This brings up Rhizopus culture that is great for gas and indigestion problems. There are also some other bacteria that produce several vitamins, including B12. So, if you know how to prepare it, or maybe know a good shop with it, you will definitely enjoy it.

Tempeh has been used mostly on the island of Java, and is actually some sort of meat replacement. I have tried it once, but it really has to be prepared well in order for us, regular meat lovers, to enjoy its taste. I have tried, and I am still trying to live and eat healthy, but so far I have only managed to cut down pork and increase chicken meat.

Well, that's too bad, because you can get more energy from soy, miso, tempeh etc than from meat. Of course, no food is perfect, but the mentioned ones contain a lot of things your body actually need. Meat is ok, of course, but there has to be some limitations, considering type and amount. You have made the first step; chicken really is a bit healthier than other meat.
