My father has a rib fracture. He has a problem with breathing and suffers pain. His doctor says that it’s nothing dangerous. He mentioned something about weakest part of a rib. But I didn’t remember what it is. So, does anybody know what's the weakest part of a rib? Thanks!
I think that the weakest part of a rib is just anterior to its angle. But you should know that a fracture can occur anywhere. The middle ribs are the most commonly fractured and the ribs may be fractured in more than one place. The break will need to heal naturally.
