Hi. I am an 19 yr old female, I already have a 2 yr old. And I currently have an IUD in place for bc. I've been having frequency urinating latley, No period for over a month now, cramping too. Pregnancy test was negative, no UTI or bladder infection. I just want to know what is wrong with me!! HELP PLEASE!!!
You should know that every change that your organism is exposed to will be taken differently. Now as you have started using IUD, your body needs time to get used to it and thus you will feel the changes. Have you ever been on a birth control before? Have you ever felt something different going on with you?
As everything else, also there are some side effects and health risks of intrauterine devices. The possible side effects are mood changes, acne, headaches, nausea, increased bleeding during your period, breast tenderness, pelvic pain etc. Have you ever experienced something else from the list beside the cramps?
The thing that I am confused about is your late period. This could be happening while on the bc, this is the most common side effect.
What I would do is redo the pregnancy test (maybe it wasn’t the right timing to do it the first time) and if it is negative, you make an appt with your doctor.

IT DEPENDS on the IUD actually! PARAGARD is NON HORMONAL! NO side effects like mood swings etc...
MIRENA is hormonal, but because the hormones MOSTLY act locally, these side effects are rare for most women. While they are rare for most women, you could still have mood swings and problems.
MIRENA Causes most womens periods to toally go away, and infact most women do not have periods by the 1 yr of use mark...
BUT as soon as 1 month after isnertion you very well could become period free.
If you are late and a pregnancy test comes up NEG, usually it is a good sign that your are NOT pregnant..
