Many young guys who are just starting puberty find that when they masturbate, from which they derive intense pleasure, they have an orgasm but nothing comes out of their penis (no ejaculation). This is called a dry orgasm.Boys start puberty at different ages so the age of first semen production varies. One has to be in puberty a year or longer before semen production starts, so there is nothing to ejaculate. Although the muscle contractions to produce an ejaculation occur, there is no semen to ejaculate because semen production has not yet started. When semen production does start, there will be only a few drops at first. It usually is clear instead of milky-colored. The quantity increases later and the color changes to milky white.Just enjoy your dry orgasms while you wait. You will see some semen come out eventually.

This is a common error. Semen and sperm are two very different things. "Semen" is the more general term for a liquid that is ejaculated by the body, usually during orgasm, but not always. It MAY or MAY NOT contain sperm, and is usually clear. Once sperm is present (being carried) in the liquid, the color can be white, off-white or milky. The consistency can range from this and watery to thick and sticky. Amounts will vary for a number of reasons (ejaculating after an extended period of sexual stimulation without release will usually result in a greater amount), but the AVERAGE amount of mail ejaculate is something around a teaspoonful. Reminder: it only takes ONE sperm to fertilize an egg, and even a small amount of ejaculate can contain vast numbers.
Semen without the sperm component is often seen as "precum," that the body puts out through the penis to lubricate the system for the sperm to travel easier. Most boys will experience precum long before they can produce sperm.
