I have what I think you would consider either swollen neck or lumps in the throat when I swallow the mucus in my throat it seems to take a little more work than normal. But food goes down just fine and liquid. It does not hurt just feels weird almost like i have balls in my throat when i bend my chin down or I rub my neck and they tend to grow and shrink periodically.

I was smoking for about 2 years but when this happened I instantly quit smoking so it has been about 2 weeks no smoking. Most recently as of just tonight when i was laying down in bed I got almost like a flushing hot feeling from my neck but i have been rubbing my neck a lot tonight trying to figure out what it is. I dont cough up blood but i have dry cough periodically when i hack up mucus most of the time it is just a nasty light tan color sometimes though it comes up with some light reddish look to it like blood maybe.

I am 26 years old, I did just get over the flu about 3 weeks ago, and everyone around me is getting the flu or had it or getting something bad. No problems breathing either. Ohh and my tonsils have white soft puss stuff that i can ooze out of them when pushed on.

I am very afraid it is cancer. I also was wondering if I go in to a doctor to get checked out and it is cancer I take it I will lose a portion of my throat and be deformed or my jaw or breath through a tube like I have seen on tv and stuff like that. Or are there ways of removing such cancer without outward appearance changes or changes in lifestyle like eating and fun?

You might have strip throat or just a viral infection or some other upper respiratory problem. Your stomach could be hurting in the morning due to throat drainage while you sleep . A few weeks ago I had something similar to what you said you had and I was told it was a viral infection and the doctor told me I would have to let it run it's course. I'm still having problems with it but each day it's slowly getting better. I suggest going to your doctor just in case it's a infection you may need antibiotics for.
