Just try to be grateful that you don't really have a problem! Most women on bc are worried about and dealing with their struggle with acne... weight issues... depression... Tons of things that are actual problems! You should be happy your biggest problem is being on your period! That's nothing to women who actually have problems! So, smile because you don't have to deal with the things that stronger women have to deal with. :-D

I've been on YAZ for about 2 1/2 years and when I first started taking it, I noticed such a huge turn around in how I felt. I had been on Yasmin prior to switching to YAZ. The first year or so were great; I felt happy and I didn't experience any of the moodiness I had previously. Now, however, I find myself so on-edge and irritable (about 1-1 1/2 weeks prior ot my period). I feel like it's the BC because up until that point, I'm fine; I don't feel like any little thing will set me off.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I hate feeling like this. :'(

seriously get off yaz while you still are sane. i have never had bad experiences with bc until yaz. after six months of it i was diagnosed with panic disorder severe depression where i was in bed for months. i never had blood pressure problems but then i developed POTS where my blood pressure would go to 50/20. i have vision problems, ibs and whatnot. most of the symptoms cleared when i got off the pill but i still have horrible anxiety and depression and moments where i feel like im not real. its very scary and i regret ever starting yaz

sorrow133,

WOW I am surprised because my story is sooo similar to yours!!!! Actually a slight bit different, I stopped Yaz it was in the middle of a pack and i took some here and there, the worst way to do it. Then i had severe panic attacks, depression, anxiety was high. It was the worst!! After 3 months I am doing better, but still have moments!! I got the not real feeling, you just have to accept it and go on because the same thing happened to me it was so scary and it was the worst ever. I am hoping to get off BC completely. This is very very difficult!

I was on Yaz for two months and felt irritable and tired. I gained weight and my breast went from a large C to DD! It was terrible! Nothing fits now. :-( I went from loving my boyfriend to feeling nothing and not wanting him to even touch me.

What's the point of being on birth control if I don't ever want to have sex?

I stopped taking my Yaz on Thursday and am already feeling so much better. I actually feel happy, like life is worth living and I'm not snapping at my kids.

I have a dr. appt at the end of the month and I'm asking for a diaphragm. I've had enough of hormones and it's obvious that the makers of YAZ either didn't test it thoroughly, or don't care about the side affects.

Also, if your dr won't switch prescriptions, get a new dr. There is NO reason to keep taking a pill that is driving you crazy. None at all! For some reason a lot of docs are pushing this pill. Are they getting paid for every prescription they fill?

People who don't have PMDD need to take a different birth control, obviously. It's not working out for some of you because you don't need it for your moods, you just want to regulate your period and whatever uncomfortable pms symptoms you have. But Yaz is clearly for emotional people, not happy. That's why it's causing you "bubbly" people to feel awful. IT'S NOT MEANT FOR YOU!

Wow! I never linked my fatigue with my birth control pill!!!!!! I've been sooooo tired. I never in a million years thought this was the reason. I figured it was an iron deficiency or something like that. Wow.

I've been absolutely struggling with losing weight this year. I've cut my calories drastically and exercising every day. Yet, only losing about 1 pound a month. Weight loss has NEVER been this difficult for me. Never in my life!
Do you think there is a connection with Yaz and my inability to lose weight??
I never gained weight when I started, I just can't lose it now.

Also....
how soon after you stopped did you regain energy back? I'm seriously thinking of stopping now just to see if I can function better during the day.

Most of these reviews seem to be pretty far fetched. If you are on a medication and your personal and professional life is falling apart, why would you stay on it for three or six months? If I start having a major break down or chest pain, I will, like most sane people, go off of any medication immediately. All birth control pills have side effects, including the above mentioned.

I've been on Yaz for two months now. I am at the end of my second past, taking my last white pill today. I'm concerned about the irregularity with Yaz. Within the first few weeks of starting the birth control I had frequent bleeding. Not a whole lot, but enough to cause you to need a tampon. That lasted for a little over two weeks and rolled into what I assumed was a period. Now, this month I haven't gotten my period. There is very, very light blood but not even enough now to need a tampon. From what I've read it seems as though this irregularity is normal. Will it balance itself out next month, or will I still be experiencing the loss of a normal period?

I have been on yaz birth control for almost a year and people are saying that I look thinner. Can the yaz pill make you lose weight instead of gaining weight?
