I’ve tried to use Diflucan yeast cream, but it didn’t work for me. However two days ago after I ate chocolate bonbons, I felt burning. I decided to try Monistat, just for the short time. However, I just have very irritating skin down there, and I’m really pissed off this yeast. I hate it a lot! >;)
I used Monostat once and almost went crazy. The burning that it caused was incredible. I went to a walk in clinic and told the doc. what was happening and she informed me that a lot of people have a reaction to the ingredient in Monostat (miconozole) and told me to try Canasten which has different ingredients. Sure enough the Canasten worked without burning and making things worse down there. Diflucan also works, but sometimes one dose does not do it, you might need 2 if the infection is pesky. :-P

Yeah Bubbleflew, I used Canasten too. It's great and it worked for me without burning. Diflucan was not good enough. It didn't help me at all :-(

Does anybody know other creams with ingredients similar to Canasten? I'd like to try other stuff too, because after 14 days of Canasten treatment, the infection has been gone but lately it turned back again.

Any suggestions?

If the creams don't work then have you tried a natural cure?

i think you should also try use acidophilus/ its a supplement comes in flavored tables, liquid...etc from a health food store, its really helpful, i used to have recurrent yeast infections and after going through that, boy, i fail not to take this supplement, i haven't had any yeast infections for over a year since i started taking it, yoghourt is also perfect but make sure it has active bacteria (good bacteria) which will also include this acidophilus and you'll say bye bye to the nasty discomfort. I also have to say that it is important to note that when people do use ANTIBIOTICS, it cleans out all the bad and good bacteria in your body and at this point, you are very prone to having a yeast infection. so from reading alot, its is important to have probiotics (which is also considered as acidophilus) but you can actually get the capsules called probiotics (health food store), so that as you take the antibiotics that is cleaning out bacteria from your body, you are also taking probiotics that brings good bacteria and maintains a good intestinal flora thus being safe from yeast. hope this helps

If you can, go to your doctor and ask for the Dilfucan tablet. It is oral, starts to work after 24 hours and continues to work for a few days after that. It prevents the yeast from growing, so the symptoms eventually go away as does the infection. I recommend it if you have an oral infection as well. However it is expensive, about $18. I guess it's not much more than a tube of Canestan or Monistat.
