I just thought we should put most of our bad stories that are happening to us right now, in one large post, so people see more have the same problem and can get help quicker. Here's what's happening to me and I went to the doctor and will post here when anything new.
- I'm a 17 year old guy. Due to a lot of trouble in my life, financially and personally, I've been a strong person (mentally) and all till 14, I've looked, acceptable for my age. I have never ever thought about puberty, I just though that eh, some things will come sooner or later.
- I look like I would 12, my penis erect is 4.5 inch, my testicles haven't really dropped or gotten bigger. I have a nice amount of pubic hair down there, but not as much as it should be, and it's like that ever since I was 11.
- I find it hard to get weight or muscle. It also makes me look younger, and I'm the most sporty guy in our class (of course, others have muscles out of nowhere, just for successfully being in puberty -.-). I'm 178cm, 5"10 and I used to weigh around 53kg but I noticed I am 57kg (few days ago), and I've never had so much weight. Could that be a sign that...puberty..is coming back?
- I've had pretty visible mustache ever since 12, dark, but not ruff/hard. Just, really visible, and also sideburns visible. Not to speak about underarm hair, I had more hair there at 11 than some guys do at 20. And when I was so young, I was in love with puberty, I thought I'll develop nice and quick, but hah, you got me.
- I've been skipping class for around 3 weeks, I just can't stand the look in people faces and the way they talk with you, you just feel that they see you as some kid and wanna make fun. Even some teacher told me that I'm behind others, not in a nice way, but so everyone heard it and laughed.
- On Tuesday (5 days ago), I went to give blood and I talked to my doctor and told her about my problems. They said if you grow 3cm+ per year, you're fine. So I kept on saying how it sucks and growing is the only visible development, until she asked about "down there". Damn it was a really weird feeling showing my stuff to a doctor..So she wrote an appointment or how to say in English, to go to a Pediatric clinic to an Endocrinologist, reason - Hypogonadism. They said I might wait a few months to get there, so peeps, if you have the same problem, go take care of it right now!
- I read so much about possible causes and syndromes.I read that poison stays in skin, like if you touched someone who used some "hormone" related creams it can affect you, so when I shower I use special techniques to get as much c**p as possible (not literally, and lol..). I researched on how to increase testosterone, by eating bananas, oysters, peanuts, salmon and more fruit. I massage my testicles, maybe it helps lol! I just..have absolutely no idea anymore.
So, I hope someone feels 1% less worried and sad, because I cry about this every now and then. I just..can't see when it's going to happen, I see all those shows on TV and movies with teenagers, damn I wish I could just go out and party and have fun..
Hope someone also posts something ;-)
What about other signs of puberty? Hair, changes etc..
While 13 isn't really that late today, it can be quite annoying for you. We can help you more after you tell us more about your other puberty signs.
Btw., most of them don't tell the truth! They add an inch or more..But not always of course!
There's nothing good about it - but don't allow it to define who you are. Do what you want to do. If anyone ever comments about 'it', just say, "Why are you so interested in my penis." That will almost always shut them up, especially if you say it in front of other kids. After saying it, lift your head high, shoulders back, and walk away - proud of your 'little guy'. You'll get a lot of respect for it.
Mate I'm 36 started to develop at age 12 closer to 13 and everything stopped. My voice never broke but have hairs and small balls. I have a 4 year old daughter and it all works fine but not much sice down there at all.
Life still is embarrassing for me as I don't have much facial hair at all and shave as soon as I see it.
I also saw an endocrinologist and was given needles every 3 moths for a year. The needles helped me grow but not develop.
Or I can say is enjoy what you can in life and everyone has there own issues.
Don't do what I have done by drinking almost daily and doing drugs as it won't change a thing.
I wish I knew this earlier but mental depression got the better of me.
I urge you to seek help in all professions you need. Good luck.
You are not alone
