I have been taking Zoloft 25 mg for about 10 years and feeling great.  My last refill was a generic.  As soon as I started taking it, I was having headaches every day and gradually my anxiety symptoms came back.  It took about a month and a half to realize it was the generic.  I stopped taking it, called my doctor who then ordered the non-generic.  It took a few days before my insurance company would ok it.  I was about 4 days without any medication.  I've been taking the non generic again for about 4 days.  Not feeling great but I'm going to stick it out.  I'm hoping it will kick in after a couple of weeks.

antidepressants can take some time to see the effects. i dont know about everyone, but for me, my doctor usually waits about 4-6 weeks, and if they havent started working, he'd consider changing my meds, or upping the dosage.

Why 150mg? Why such a ridiculously high dose? Cut down, dont CT.go slowest the last 25mg. Take a couple of months (at least) to do it.

If you haven't taken your Zoloft or buspirone for several weeks, could that make you pregnant? I’m 18 years old and need some help.

I'm taking Zoloft now. It has been 2 1/2 years. With it, I'm focused, without it, I'm doomed.

My daughter has been taking 50 mgs of Zoloft for anxiety for 4 years. She recently stopped taking them (probably at least 3 weeks ago), and she has been experiencing nausea. Could this be a side effect of just completely stopping this medication?

Probably really late replying here however after over a year on Zoloft, I went down to 100mg and stopped cold turkey as people are saying. I’m dumb and have not done this with medical supervision so please always talk to a dr. Anyway the meds worked for a while then my skin hurt, brain hurt and I became a typical zombie. I am now going through severe withdrawals. First it started with just a light flu symptom which blew into severe flu symptoms with painful ears and ringing. Sleeping is impossible, the “brain zaps” as they are called are bearable but they are a feeling like no other. I read exercise helped however as one symptom I have is random heart rate increases, light exercise cause me vision loss, puking and I fainted/passed out. Anyway this was 3/4 days after I quit taking the pills. I have heard about people seeing and hearing things however I am self aware of what’s going on and have no seen or heard anything that’s not there, the experience will be different for all and I am still struggling heavily now. Anyone going threw these symptoms please hold out it will pass we will make it hope this helps someone on the journey to recovery. “Lean on me”
