today was the last time i will be taking my pain meds that i've been on for about 3 going on 4 yrs now. I'm done. i gotta get back to my normal happy life with my husband and stop missing so much work. that was never me. i've been reading all the withdrawal side effects and I'm nervous. i've tapered down to half of my normal dose, and now just down to 1 & a half LORCET. i also take soma (2) and ambien (1) to sleep. i've also cut this doses down. my biggest thing is here...todays is the last of it ALL for me. so tomorrow i'm thinking sh*t will hit the fan. i have taken the vacation time off of work so i can be at home in some what comfort. any advice? anything i need to pick from the store tomorrow after i get off work? and tips on relaxing and how to do this without the help of other meds from the doctor? anything will be greatly be appreciated. i've heard so many horror stories that i guess now that it's really time, I'm nervous and scared. i have my wonderful husband hear that will support me. thanks for reading. my husband and i work full time jobs with all the bills and normal stuff. i just want the normal feeling back.
Well I can tell you this I went through the exact ordial.it is not going to be fun.Your body is going to go through the motion of withdraws.Such as dihareah,or vomiting,or both sleeping ,stomach cramps thats a few to list.Ive been clean for over a year now and I took several different meds that I was precribed.Such a Lorcets ,Soma'S,Xanax, and Ambien.NOT a good combination. Now a year later I take just my Blood Pressure med.I feel the best I ever felt.Oh and on a Depression med.I dont even take that anymore.I did seek help to learn about addiction .I didnt thin k I had a problem. So this is what i Did that has helped me get beyond this issue. It really is in the mind you have to find a way to control your mind.LIKE GETTING INVOLVED in your community. If there is a hobbie or you take an interst in something then do it.You have to start feeling better about yourself first. In which I tell people all the time you got to disipline yourself.Change you habits.Goes back to getting invovled.Be around family if you have kids spend alot of time with them. That will make you feel better.I can go on and on .Sorry been through this.I hope that will help the wheels turn some more.O2BME
