I'm a 22 y/o female, and yesterday I had my tonsils removed.
I've read so many horror stories on here, I'm not sure what to expect.
The pain was pretty bad yesterday, but not so bad today.
Since I got home, I have been forcing water, juice, jello and popsicles on myself, at least a cup or two of liquid an hour.
I am also on liquid Hydrocodone every 4 hours for pain, and Amoxil as well.
I have also been alternating between cold packs on my neck and a heating pad on my ears.
Today I managed to drink a bowl of broth, eat a small tea roll, a little pudding, and a small dish of ice cream.
My dr said today would probably be the worst, and it will be much easier after today.
Sleep is a little difficult, I tend to wake up every 2 hours or so.
Did anybody else have a similiar experience? I'm very afraid that I'll start having the vicious and violent pain that I keep reading about.
Was it easy for anybody?
