My 8 yr old daughter just came back from school complaining of burning pain on her left nipple. I thought it could be a bug bite so I applied OTC Cortizone ointment on it. She was wearing a brand new shirt with some embelishments on it so I thought that may be part of the culprit and had her change into a cotton tshirt instead. She also had a couple of more little red bumps near but not on her nipple. She says she feels much better now so I'm guessing it could be a sensitivity to the material of the new shirt or as someone pointed out new Easter dresses. For the rest of the week we'll be wearing cotton shirts and see how it develops.

My daughter is 8 1/2 and has same problem. I started puberty at age 11. Menstruated at 12. And that was the norm back in the early 80's! Kids today, fed a steady diet of hormone injected meat, are starting earlier. I'm not saying this to upset you, I don't like it either, just to ease your mind that's more than likely it's not cancer. Good luck at you appt!
