A week is not long enough to assess this---you will get better and feel fine---ask your doctor to run a stomach emptyinng test to see if your motility is damaged...

I hope you are still with us, John.  Have you looked into Candida and Mercury poisoning?  I had my gall bladder removed, and the same happened to me, I never got better.  I finally got my problem properly diagnosed, initially Candida, then when I had a difficult time ridding myself of it, found out if you have mercury poisoning (most often caused by amalgam fillings in the teeth) you will have trouble getting rid of it.

Hello All

I too had Gallbladder Removal surgery due to Gallstones. I had suffered for more than 5 months before we figured out what it was since I  did not have the shooting pains usually associated. It has been nearly 2 weeks since the removal, and the surgical area is healing well HOWEVER I feel the same!! I will have good and bad days but more often then not (4-5 days a week) I am plagued with constant diarrhea having to use the rest room every 20 minutes, and for a Gal who works this is a nightmare! Not mention the nausea!

Anyone have any advice or suggestions to help ease this ??? How long will this continue?! My surgeon is just telling me to wait it out, obviously he has never experienced this himself.  I am sure like you all, I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. Good Luck and Best wishes to the rest of you!

Hi After reading all the posts from various people.I realize I am not alone with the symptoms that i have had since my gall bladder removal. These include feeling sick alot of the time, pain which is so bad I want to scream and a dull ache underneath my rib cage...which drives me insane. It's been 3 months since it's removal and I have not had one day when I actually feel good.I have had a scan and the dr said it's just taking it's time to heal inside.I just want to feel better..Thankyou for letting me share this with you..x

Try to hang in there---it will get better but it takes time....I literally quit eating for 6 months and lived with constant nausea and pain under my left ribs....I thought I was dying..I lost 22 pounds and was thin before it all started....I had every test and all were fine except my gastric emptying study which showed slow emptying....I was put on liquid erythromycin for three months, along with Protonix, zantac, carafate and digestive enzymes...Eventually, I got better...I still have some pain under my left ribs but can eat everything and have gained my weight back....My doctor postulates that I may have had a viral infection which caused both...hopefully it won't return...I hope you get to feeling better....are you on any meds?

Don't ever give up. And keep in mind to all that God is rewarding us soooooo much during this painful time even if it's as small as a thorn from a bush! He's the most merciful. With that said , I too am so tired of complaining! I think all these doctors that tell us we need surgeries just want to make a quick buck or just learn something in our insides. At least thats how I feel

I had my gallbladder out and my appendix almost three weeks ago. I was feeling a lot better at first, but now I'm back to feeling burning and sharp pains in my side and abdomen and am having bile reflux and vomit in the mornings. I feel awful most of the time, but moving around helps. I was also on zofran and phenegran, they didn't help much. Did you end up feeling better after a few months?

I has my gall bladder removed five days ago. Great gas pain first two days. By yesterday, pretty good! Today, in bed with BAD nausea. I have four cuts, one coming out of belly button. I hope this helps and someone can shed some relief my way. Thank you.
