62 days still having Withdraws Methadone

what opiate addicts need to learn is there is no magic way to detox, its all the same tell you the truth methadone you should taper because i dropped from 130mgs in 21 days and i withdrawaled for 81 days straight until i got on subutex.. its been a year now and i decided to quit 16mg cold turkey its now day 33 and i can say im getting energy back and starting to feel little more decent barley sleep still, but think about it you deserve this pain and if you think you dont you must be mistaken, go thru the withdrawal and you will find that it shows you why you wont touch this sh*t ever again... methadone is about 4 month withdrawal if u cold turkey it, subutex cold turkey 2 months til your normal, and subutex is only as bad as methadone withdrawal for 10-14 days.... after 2 weeks you will start feeling alittle better every week. you can do it, i have not 1 used thing for my detox... and im getting there.. good luck to everyone cheers.

just done a detox from 90ml methadone after 23yrs.

tapered down very very slowly over a 12mth period.

jumped from 5mls and swerved the suboxone route and took

lofexadine instead.

ok the lofex didnt kill all the wdrl symptoms but it sure did fkn help.

ive been clean off meth now for twelve days .

still not sleeping and my legs are hurting bad.

will this bastard ever end??????????

i was a meth user,and i detoxed by myself.it took me exactly one year to come clean and free of that sh*t.i documented the whole ordeal,but lost all my documents cuz of a flood.still have most of the experience in my head.all i can say to someone is don't give up if your trying to get off of this methadone c**p.good days are ahead.....

I have been on done for about 2 months only 10 mg a day if I stop now will i have major withdrawals?? I didn't take one for one day and started feeling bad and i took 3 times the dose recommended for Imodium and it took away everything. I just wanna know if its gonna be bad. if i knew how bad this med was before i wouldn't have taken it!!!

DO NOT DO INPATIENT, u will shoot your self long tapers are need after all that sh*t you put in your body. and i would first get off the benzos only. all that sh*t at once is hell. id say beznos are the main cause of your stupidness and non functionality.

Evidently, the so called methadone-gets-in-the-bones theory will likely be shown by experts to be a known medical factoid when it comes to this devilish little cocktail.  Hitler's hunched over lab workers knew they were on to something, right?  Now, generations later and we have a slew of evidence that strongly suggests methadone can causes the user's breath to become highly offensive, (thus the highly offensive term,  "shufflers who emit mouth odors that is most aligned with the stink of hot burning trash.") 

Although long term methadone consumers will blink at this sentence, they know, to a man or woman, that they alone cannot feel high - too bad the gig is up, time to pay the Tax Man and get out of Dodge City, if you know what I mean, eh? (Get it?) This means that it is no joke.  In other words my friends, getting high means supplementing your right to believe methadone will block out the memory of being super high in class or at grandma's after she was fitted with a new set of chompers.   Oh, and yes I agree 100%, i.e., concoctions like blood letting and leaches that are in no small manner related to the common garden slug or those that smell like what a rabbit foot would taste like if eaten in a cool, foggy mist.  

And finally, my crazy flipper fingers are getting silly on this fat orange cat that is eating its way through a large population of small, crunchy rodents.  He IS a keeper.  One more thing, let us rise above the methadone fail and find a sail to a better, sweeter and more overall fun world.  Keep yourself your number one fans - all of you because you can!

I disagree here. Although your head rules you in alot of things, the withdrawl from any opiate is LARGELY physical. Opiates damage the area in your brain that creates dopamine. Dopamine is what helps out with managing pain. after four years of using opiates this area of your brain is pretty much dead. So needless to say, pain is felt at a greater rate.

i quit methadone cold turkey 5 weeks and 1 day ago,

was taking 90mg three times a week or so

i started taking methadone head-on recreationally at 2009 AFTER being hooked on norcos and oxy's.

when i quit though, i had like 20 xanax bars and 20 valiums, one subutex pill and one strip, and i also went to the E.R. and got perscriptions of clonidine to help with withdrawls and seroquel for sleeping. i kept the subutex for the worse days, and was on xanax and valium for the first two weeks just to try to black out the days. and also to stimulate happiness because whenever i see a xanax bar a part of me says "yay!" so having a bunch of green bars were kinda fun but i never did it daily... i notice that its kinda like E, the first day you do it its cool but the second day wont be as fun (you get so used to it so fast) so id try to stretch my intake to every few days instead...

ANYWAYS  ... im clean now

Try Ultra Clear ph, Tumericforce, and Gingerforce. Had to order online. Pre planned my detox after 10 years on Methadone. Doc gave me 2 weeks of Ativan (needed 3 weeks worth tho) and Clonidine. The Ultra Clear tastes gross but those three together kept away about 95% of the leg and arm pain! I safely and quickly detoxed at home while caring for 4 kids. Did I look or smell great? NO! But I WAS SUCCESSFULLY DETOXING! I buried all my leftover narcs in a ziplock bag filled with coffee so there'd be no easy way out. I SWEAR by the Ultra Clear ph shake.

To Gone for Good, plz reconsider. Don't be a victim of Methadone. There are ways to get off that beast without as much pain. See my post above about what really worked for me after 10 years on it. Be tough be brave.

I am on day 7 after 18 years on methadone. 230mg. highest dosage taken. That was a gradual increase, but damn, when I feel of my chair at work, I came down to 100mg. Detoxed at 1 mg. a day. I had steady adderal dirty urines, and guess what, that is the only thing that over rides that monkey. I haven't missed work or really much of anything.
The side effects from adderal are cake compared to what we have been through. I don't understand it, you would think not to take a stimulant while your dope sick from methadone, it puts you over that and its the only way I will make another week or two. When I wake up, and I am not dope sick, then I will go from there.
