Methadone.........I was on it for over 10 yrs....What worked for me was God...It does not get into your bones, it does not rot your teeth...Some people may have forgotten all the stuff they used either before Methadone or along with Methadone..I was delivered overnight...that was a few yrs ago...do I have pain, doesn't everyone?  We all have pain some more than others...DO NOT BELIEVE THE LIE....

If you read all the negative stuff, you believe it and hence will suffer the things you've put in your head...METHADONE...If HE did it for me, HE will do for you...God bless you all

I've been on methadone for 31 years now and it has NOT caused any organ damage or bone loss. This is well known when you research the scientific data on this drug. It was not ever meant to Cure heroin addiction. It was initiated as a compassionate alternative to shooting up heroin and other powerful opiates. When you start it, you sign a form that informs you that it is addictive and you will become addicted to it. It helped heroin addicts by stopping the need to inject street heroin every few hours, it is in oral form and lasts 24 hours. You can recover your health, become productive, stop committing crimes, stop risking infection by Aids and hepatitis and keep you out of jail and stop the stealing from family members to maintain your habit. It saved my life and even though I'm an addict, I'm legal, productive, healthy, I'm not committing crimes and I have my family back. I'm sorry you had problems with it, but you shouldn't blame the drug. It's available to help people, not hurt them. We all have different needs and different bodies, etc. so some people are affected differently by drugs than others. I hope you can recover your health and I'm not throwing you under the bus, but I have to defend methadone because of what is has done for me. I would not be here without it, its that simple. I would be in prison or dead. Good Luck to ya

Being on Methadone myself in a maintenance program I can say that I some what agree with you then again I don't. I have slowly tapered myself off of 60 mgs by going down 1mg every other week. It wasn't that bad but the anxiety is out of this world. The highest I was on was 60 and now I'm at 22 with 11 being my lowest dose. The program itself works yes but I think they should use something else to get people through the withdrawal process. When I first started I was on 20 mgs a day and didn't take anything to top off. Once I took my last Percocet I was done and thought that it was useless if I still took pills. They got me leveled out and I though everything was fine. If people owe them money they'll snatch your dose from you way too quick! Putting people on something that has worse and longer withdrawals then heroin is crazy to me. Why switch from one drug to another? Coupled with counselling it can be beneficial to us but personally I think they should find something else to use. Addiction is a disease and it should be taken seriously. People have to want it for themselves to finally get out of the hole we call addiction. I want to get out of this program for good but I'm a little scared. I want to do it slowly and finally rid myself of all toxins!! I hope you're doing good with everything!!

Did you ever have your testosterone checked? Methadone kills your testosterone and has the same symptoms as withdrawing from Methadone when it is low.

DID YOU EVER GET YOUR TESTOSTERONE CHECKED ? THAT COULD BE YOUR PROBLEM NOW AS LOW TESTERONE HAS SOME OF THE SAME SYMPTOMS AS WITHDRAWAL.

Bingo! I was reading all of these posts and I was wondering if anyone else has discovered this. I started taking testosterone replacement therapy because my blood test came back eith a very low testosterone level. Very low. I had tried weaning the oxys and percs then went on the meth and tried detoxing with no luck but after the doc put me on testosterone injections it totally helped. No pain.... very little withdrawals. I am now at 7 mgs after being at 140mgs for 3 yrs. Did it over a 4 month period. So far so good. Sleep has been easy. Good luck all!
