Hi! Thank you for taking your time to read this.

I just have a few questions and I'm hoping someone can help me out here..

About a month ago, April 5th, I had sex with my boyfriend. I had been on the pill for not even a whole month when we had sex. He "finished" inside of me. No pull out method, or condom was used my him because I am on the pill.

I  have been having some pregnancy symptoms, like being nauseous, cranky, tired, peeing alot, very very emotional, borwn spotting? and I can't stand certain foods, also i feel like im bloated. It's been like this for a couple weeks, is there anyway possible I could be pregnant?

I should have started my period sometime within last week or this week. I never have a regular cyle.

I'm very confused, and anxious, but also scared to take a test.

Help anyone?

Thank you!

The only way to find out is a pregnancy test. You didn't take the pill long enough for it to full take effect. It takes 2-3 months worth to get your body used to the pill.

Hi Crazy,

Starting birth control can change your periods.  Usually it has the effect of making them more "regular."  But, you just started and that can take some time.  Remember, your body is undergoing changes related to the hormones in the pill.  You can have spotting and other symptoms - all normal.

If you've been taking them, as directed, it is unlikely you are pregnant.  Most are effective within 7 days.

Take a home test.  It's been more than 3 weeks since you had sex and it should be reliable.  Use ONLY your very first morning urine (wake up pee) for the best accuracy.

Good luck.

I'm 39, going on forty, and last month I had no period and now this month I have had heavy spotting every other week. Can I be going through the change (menopause)?
