GET OFF DEPO! IT HAS RUINED MY LIFE!
so ive been on the depo shot and i bleed only a little after sex. its really annoying and embarassing and i dont want my boyfriend to see it. that is the only negative side affect from the shot that i've experienced so far. i just want to know how long until this bleeding after sex will stop? i dont get my period any other time and i rarely spot. help please
For anyone wondering, spotting after sex stopping for me after being on it a few years.
A week ago I just got my second shot of depo about a week ago. Two days after I got it I stopped bleeding and after another couple of days I had sex and now I'm bleeding again. Will the bleeding after having intercourse go away? If so do you know when?
Hi, I know this was posted over a year ago but I was wondering if anything got better after the depo. I am having the same symptoms in the abdominal as you.

Hi, so my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex about two weeks ago maybe less, and I spotted afterwards but didnt think it was anything serious because I had had that before with him and i am on the Depo shot.(been on it for about 6 months now). But my concern was that I spotted pretty heavy this time(it was rather dark and thick) and i am feeling tired and really out of it for about four -five days now. I get sick to my stomach when i consume food or beverages any kind. I know the signs of pregnancy because I have been pregnant before( I have a daughter that is 10 months). If any one has any answers for this i would really appreciate it.
I was on Depo after my first child and it totally ceased my period. After I stopped taking it I didn't have a period for about 6 months. Now after so many years I decided to start taking it again in May 2014. M period was on when I got the shot and it stopped like 2 days later and I didn't bleed for weeks. Now at the end of June I started spotting. The smell was awful. I was douching and bathing like mad but nothing worked. July starts and it's still going, on some days off the next nevertheless still spotting. Here comes the end of July they put on a bc 4 pill for two days, 3 pills until the bleeding stopped. Didn't work still bled. Finally went in for my second shot and July 30 and I've been spotting/bleeding ever since. He put me on Jenel and it stopped for 3 days, then right back. I'll die in hell before I go back for another shot because now I'm cramping, when I wipe its always blood, and at times clots in the toilet. I am disgusted and tired of buying pads. Worse mistake I EVER made.. A nightmare.
