Several years ago a Gastroenterologist diagnosed me with IBS. He did my first colonoscopy. He said I had a very spastic colon, to the point of it being difficult to get it done.
My stomachaches don’t give me cold sweats, I am so hot I take all my clothes off & end up on the cold tile floor sweating so bad my hair is completely wet. I’m very pale & feel terrible for several hours after. They are more frequent now as well.
I haven’t been back to a Gastroenterologist in many years but when you explain them to any Dr I feel as if I’m being ignored even when trying to explain how painful along with all the other symptoms. It’s very frustrating.
Unfortunately my son also suffers with these but luckily my daughter never has.
I would love to know what causes them & how to prevent them.

Pain, Sweating, Passing out, 20 min then all good, Has happened for 15+ years since I was a teenager. 1-4 times per year, some years less, some more.
Not in the middle of the night though, usually its in the morning after I wake up and have breakfast. Ive always had a bad stomach. As a kid i would drink loads of coke-cola and have strong gas moments. Then I went into a gatorade phase, which also came with a different stomach pain. Recently drank a lot of coffee but quit for 4 months. Now drinking black tea. I had an 'episode' today.
I wonder if I have ulcers or something similar. Never been to a doctor. Will look into diverticulitis, IBS, and intolerance.
By any chance did you guys have bad eating habbits as kids? Too much cola? That stuff probably eats away our intestines. I am a vegetarian now but still eat fried stuff now and then.

another club member. had my worst episode a few days ago. felt a bit constipated in the morning, went out for a walk but my lower stomach started hurting and I had to sit down on a stone wall. managed to walk back leaning on my friend. starting seeing stars, somehow made it up two floors to the bathroom. didn't turn on lights, needed the dark. tried to sit on toilet but nothing and pain too intense, laid on cold bathroom floor as usual, hot sweat, clothes off, cold sweat. I was up and down trying to get out the demon but couldn't quite sit on toilet, so much pain, curled up on floor, thought I would die. my friend tried to check on me and open the door but I couldn't move. so much pain all I could do was try to breathe, it felt like I would die from the pain. I remember being on my knees butt up head down and puddles of sweat dripping off my wrist onto the floor. I think I got up and down to the toilet a few times, I don't know if I pooped in the up and downs. eventually felt good enough to get onto the toilet, loose half diahreaa as I saw later. my boyfriend kept trying to take me to the ER but I couldn't move. I don't think I could talk. if think I just said I can't move. he called paramedics but when he was waiting outside I was trying to tell to him that I was going to make it. the paramedics said I had low blood pressure and body temp 34.5 degrees. we went to the hospital but after eight hours of no attention I decided to come home. I know from past times that when it's over, it's over. I haven't been diagnosed with anything but I guess I should try to get it figured out.
thanks to all for sharing their experiences.
