I'm 22 years old and i have always been normal with my periods always knoe when they are coming and ending. This month it started a week early then it's supposed to, it lasted a day longer then it normally does. Then only a week and half after it ended it started again and lasted a week. It stopped for only 3 days and i received it again except this time its black. Does anyone know what this can mean???
You may be passing "old" blood, or uterine lining that has, for whatever reason, not been passed prior. THis can be light to dark brown. If you experienced pain (or even if you didn't) in your lower pelvic region on your left or right side (over either of your ovaries), you may have had an ovarian cyst that ruptured, and are now passing the blood (which can appear anywhere from red to black). I would suggest you see a doctor to find out for sure if it is still happening.
