My period was about 2 or 3 weeks ago. For about a week I had heavy clear/white discharge. This is not typical in my cycle. I am on birth control, and have been using the same brand for almost 3 years with no issues. I'm not in pain or itchy at all. A few days ago, the discharge went away, but the past 3 days there have been miniscule amounts of spotting. I barely even noticed it. It looks like ancient stains that have worn out, but it appeared in underwear that I haven't worn during a period yet. It's so light that I can't tell if it's pink/red/brown. I have no idea what's wrong. I've also been getting hot & cold flashes lately. I'm only 19, so it's not menopause. If you could give me an idea what's going on, that would be great. Thank you.
Dear CrimsonRose. Have you been recently sexually active with no protection? If so, the discharge I would suspect is your ovulation! The spotting could be implantation of a fertilized egg! Think about your activity, and if it matches up with the dates, I'm pretty sure you ARE pregnant. IF you have not had sex recently, then I would DEFINITELY suspect a yeast infection. A lot of women can have yeast infections without the odor, itching etc. Sometimes it shows up by painful intercourse, and reddened vagina which leads to spotting. Wait another week - if you think you could be pregnant and take a test. You can also use monistat even if you are pregnant. So it wouldn't hurt to be on that right away, if you are pretty sure your not pregnant. Good Luck and health

Thanks. Yeah, I'm sure it's not a yeast infection. I had one before. VERY itchy for me. I was thinking pregnancy. I just hope it's not an STD. If it's an STD, I'd suspect gonnorhea. I HAVE had sex recently. I'm just really worried if it's not pregnancy 'cause then something could be really wrong with me. Thank you for the help.
