I am 21 years old and I had an abortion on April 12th after 2 months of pregnancy. I had slight abdominal pain that went away after 2 or 3 days and i didnt experience any sort of problems after that. But my periods still didnt start yet. there's no chance of me being pregnant again since i haven't had sex after the abortion. i had a check up that ensured that i dont have an infection or something. so what could be the possible reason behind my delayed pregnancy? please help...
You may mean delayed menstruation right?? :-D
For many women their normal period will return at about 6 weeks post AB, but there are a few women who will take up to 8 weeks to have a period. This is normal and not considered an emergency situation, but since you seem to be taking longer than 8 weeks, it may be a good idea to see your gyn doc to jump start a period =)
Most women notice their period returns faster when they use birth control pills after an abortion, did you take these pills? While birth control can keep your periods regular, some women have been known to miss a period while on birth control.(Not due to pregnancy)
