Hi, my brother has rare form of sun allergy called actinic prurigo. He has blisters all over face and other parts of the body, if he is exposed. I hope to find any cure for him.
Hi, my younger brother also had it. His skin formed blisters and lesions whenever he would go out in the sun. It's painful, and it made him a lot of trouble. He is not feeling good about himself anymore. Many times he is frustrated by his appearance, children in teenage period are in the worst condition. All advices on this condition are about using sunscreens and avoiding sun exposure, there's no cause treatment. Some doctors propose immunosuppresants such as thalidomides. Many children are oversensitive these days, so it is not even such a rare condition any more.
My name is Rocio Gable and I have Actinic Purigo I guess I don't feel so alone about Actinic Purigo! It does make you feel self conscious about yourself! I think oh, well my Children are use too seeing me like that! It happens in nose and I am seeing a Dertalogist at Northwestern!
