For a very long time I had suffered from constipation and then I started experiencing pain during my bowel movements. The thing was that they were painful only during my periods. However, I didn’t pay much attention, I contributed it to the constipation. Then I had yeast infection once and I treated it, after reappearance of the yeast infection I started talking with my gyno and told her about my problems. She said she would like to do a laparoscopy to check something out and the results showed I had adometriosis. She said I was lucky it didn’t cause any damage. What did she mean by that and how did I get this adometriosis? Thank you

I have to say that you were lucky with the symptoms as well. I had unbearable pains during my periods, which were irregular by the way and I couldn’t have sex because it hurt so much. I talked to a gynecologist and she told me she had no experience with painful intercourses, so she referred me to a specialist who deals with pains during sex. She didn’t even run any tests. This doctor diagnosed me with endometriosis. I also had some internal bleeding but as far as I know, women can become infertile or develop scar tissue formations, adhesions, and bowel problems. I am not sure but I think the cause is not known.
