Hi there,
I`ve been smoking for about 6 years now, and just recently whenever I finish smoking a cigarette I get really nauseous and sharp pains in my stomach. After that I get indigestion, and when I lay down for bed I get nauseous as well. This has only been happening for a few weeks now, I`ve taken taken pregnancy tests and they come up negative. I`ve been trying to eat better too. I take pepto bismal, and I feel better for a while, but the next day as soon as I have my morning smoke, I feel horrible again. What could be wrong with me?

From my own experience - as a smoker and as someone who has gone through all of the other symptoms you described - from pain after eating to almost constant nausea, I think that the problem might be your GI system. It is not uncommon at all to have bacteria H.Pylori and have no symptoms at all for years and all of the sudden - this, not to mention that smoking definitely contributed to irritate your stomach mucosa even further. The fact that Pepto helps says that there is far to much acid in your stomach and some reason for this over-acidity (other than smoking) must have became active. I think you really need to see your doctor as soon as you can, because you'll just waste away if you can't eat properly. Please, keep me posted.
