After surgery bleeding which lasted for whole week, followed with red tissue discharge

Hi.
I had an operation last thursday I was bleeding after it for a week.. then I had some vaginal tissue disharge and it was all red and circle. But I wasn't sure what it was. So I went to the doctors. And she said it was a pregnacy sack.. im not sure though I had to get the sack tested. But I dont know if I had a miscarriage or not. People please reply and tell me what they think of if they have had experiences like this??
