What are aktins in human body? What are they made from and what their role is? I’m not sure that I spelled the word properly. Please post if know about actins more that I do. I need this information for an essay that should write. Thanks.

Actins are proteins that form filaments and provide mechanical support to cell. Their role is essential in muscle contraction along with the other protein called myosine. Actins are among the most abundant proteins in human cells. The filaments of actin give shape to the cell and enable its movements. That’s all I remember about actins. Hope that was helpful.
