You can be allergic to the to, my grand daughter has an allergic reaction to certain tp. We had to keep switching to until her reaction went away & it had to be without chemicals for her.

Having the same issue here as well I normally buy scott 1000 sheets or generic equivalent but a guest bought the scott soft to help out with expenses while here and I suddenly am itching horribly! I have had yeast infections in the past and this is not a yeast infection. I wondered about the toilet paper so bought a roll of reg 1000 sheets today and itching is already lessened. Thanks for confirming I’m not losing my mind lol

I have had severe vulvar itching and irritation for 12 years now. Nothing helped it go away. I had biopsies taken and was diagnosed with lichen simplex chronicus and squamous hyperplasia. I have had some patch testing done and allergy testing to no avail; I use hypoallergenic laundry detergent and no fabric softener, eliminated EVERYTHING except Cetaphil body cleanser and the steroid ointment the Dr. prescribed, which I shouldn't use for too long. The only thing left is the Scott 1000 tp I've used for 40 years, which never occurred to me. I have stopped using it and temporarily switched to fabric to see if that helps. Preliminary results are encouraging but I am giving it time because I don't expect 12 years of damage to be undone quickly. I really hope I have found the answer to my suffering and am so thankful to have found this thread and know that I am not alone and that tp could indeed be the culprit.

If drs don’t know wtf that is I’d be changing drs real quick. Ppl r talking about like a itch as if headlice was down below lower then pub hair. It’s Costco’s toilet paper it’s so linty. My daughter and I just moved in with my mom. Both of us have never had any kind of vag infection or urinary nothing. But I asked her r u itchy down there? We both laughed bcuz she said she was thinking it was the tp? I was too! We sometimes finish each other’s sentences

Yes! This is exactly what is happening to me. I bought a 6 pack of the new Scott Soft toilet paper! I have rarely used regular Scott and always buy a generic Harris Teeter brand. This Scott Soft was on sale, BOGO Free, so I bought it. I have been burning and itching for more than 2 weeks. I have been close to going to the Dr. but decided to do some research yesterday. I do think it's the TP after reading all of your concerns about Scott Soft. So, it's just mild baby wipes and more diaper cream starting today until it clears up then back to my HT brand!

Do you know Kirkland? The Kirkland brand is popular for its affordable yet quality products created for Costco. One of them is the Kirkland Signature toilet paper, which is soft and strong, unlike other brands.

America holds the title of being the highest consumer of toilet tissue; each of them is estimated to use at least 140 rolls per year. Guess what? Costco stores are their go-to for this product. Their private label, the Kirkland brand, is known for this exact commodity.

A friend of mine who is working in a factory told me that it is possible to become allergic to different types of toilet paper, especially if they contain fragrances or dyes.

The best thing to do is to switch to an unscented and dye-free toilet paper and see if your symptoms improve. If your symptoms persist, you should speak to your doctor to get further advice.

I think that experimenting with different kinds of toilet paper can make your problem go away.
