Hi, I’m a new poster, but visit this site quite often and just wanted a little insight if possible. I’ve started to be sexually active again since my last partner a few years ago. We were sexually active for about two years. One year and some with condoms, (and a few pull out methods, because I was stupid) and a half a year or so with birth control. I’d always get paranoid about being pregnant, but it never happened. My current partner and I decided to become sexually active about a month ago. We had sex on and off for a few days, we used a condom every time. I bled and hurt a little after each time, and of course I was a little worried; but we both felt this was just my body getting used to being sexually active again. Each time we were sexually active, I bled and hurt a little less until I was fine. Four days later, I went back to work, and got my period. I checked and there was just a little blood. A few hours later, it was flowing, like a normal period. I got my daily cramps and everything, and it lasted as long as a normal period. So I figured everything was O.K.

Then about two weeks later, I was at work, when my nipples started to hurt. Like, your periods about to come hurt, but worse. If I lightly press on them, while I have a bra on, they feel O.K; not too bad, but if I give them direct contact with a finger, they tingle, like a tender sore. It’s not INSANE hurt, but more than what I'm used to before my period. Right away I went to the bathroom and looked at my breasts in the mirror. While On birth control, my Aerolas get HUGE, like cover half the breast. At the moment, they still look fine. I never really calculated my period before this month, but I know the last time I had it was twenty five days ago. I always have nipple pain before my period, but not a week and a few days before. I really feel that my chances are less than 1% that I could actually be pregnant, considering I was sexually active and only sexually active four days before my last period, and I was safe. But like any young adventurous woman, I look for answers, and scare myself silly.

The day my nipples started to hurt, I started looking out for any symptom I've been having. I can’t even say if they’re pure symptoms! Because honestly, there are reasons for each one. Like, how I’ve had milk this month, from two bowls of cereal, and a load of restaurant food and cokes, from being super busy and not having time to make decent meals for the past few weeks. They say lots of dairy and caffeine are not good for your nipples. I’ve also heard that becoming sexually active, again, will give you crazy hormonal changes at first, but I cannot confirm this.

I’ve been getting white and cloudy discharge, (vaginal) but nothing out of the ordinary, which I believe is completely normal. But I figured I’d add this anyway. My urine is also very yellow and cloudy. But I figure this is because I have not eaten very well this month, as said above.

That was pretty much IT until yesterday. I woke up at 2 pm, to my phone ringing, bent down on the floor to get it, and got nausea right away. I figure this was because the only type of food sustenance I had that day was Chinese. I usually have indigestion problems, and sometimes I do feel sick in the mornings I feel because of it and the lack of sleep I tend to get. I went and got some meds and a cup of tea and was fine an hour later. I have not had nausea since.

Then I read up somewhere that you had an insane urge to pee while pregnant. So lo and behold a few hours later, I’m getting this tiny burning sensation in my vagina. I can’t explain it. It doesn’t hurt when I go to the bathroom, only after. And it’s not even a hurt. It’s like when you contract your muscle in and out, you get this weird feeling. But that’s seemed to wear off. This is also not the first time I’ve had this as well, every now and then every month it just happens, so it could be normal too.

That night I got slight cramping. VERY slight. But since my period should be here any day now, I figure that could be why.

Today I woke up with slight back pain; I figure this is because I had to lift a sh*t load of heavy boxes the day before being nauseated. I also slipped and fell on the concrete the same day. I had to go to the bathroom twice. But I figure that was because I didn’t have to go to the bathroom yesterday to get rid of the Chinese. No diarrhea.

I had one headache, but it was WAY before my nipples even started to hurt, so I figure it would be too early to diagnose that as anything but a regular headache.

So in conclusion, I just wanted to know what people felt I had. My parents say it’s a kidney infection, my friend’s say it’s just more hormonal changes due to sex, and well, I don’t really know what to think. I feel that you would KNOW if you were pregnant, and I don’t really feel like I have any hard symptoms at all. I’m going for a doctor’s appointment after work tomorrow or Tuesday, for a few tests, and hopefully by then I get my period. Thank you! I also apologize for the huge post ahead of time. I tend to explain everything.

My suggestion is to calm down a little. I am guilty of the same thing. Stressing out about it makes the symptoms worse. Many of your symptoms could just be a slight kidney infaction and you could just be having some hormonal changes as well. None of what you say makes me think you should be very worried about being pregnant. Though not everyone has clear signs of being pregnant. I was like three months along before I knew I was pregnant with my daughter. I have lost of kidney infections and woman problems. It sounds like you need to drink more water. If you are uncomfortable then go to the doctor. I hope this helps.

Thank you very much. I went to the doctors yesterday and I was negative. She said it was probably just hormonal changes and your nipples could hurt from the time of ovulation until your period. I already knew this but it was nice to hear it from a doctor. It's just frustrating though because my nipples have NEVER hurt this early in my cycle. I've calmed down a lot now, and my period should come tomorrow. I just hope that the test was accurate enough since my last sexual activity was over a month ago but it's not time for my period yet. I'm getting slight cramps now and my head hurts. Figure it's because my period is on the way. Thank you again.
