Hi,
I'm 24 and once a year for about three or four months (this has been happening for five years now), I get really bad stomach/intestine problems. I get really nauseous no matter what I eat (I've tried going gluten-free and/or vegetarian/vegan and cutting out HFCS and that didn't help), if it's a small or large portion, during any time of the day, and then I either have bad diarrhea that is mucousy and looks like dirt or I vomit within an hour of eating. I lose about 10-20 pounds because of lack of nutrients. I've seen 4 specialists; I've been tested for celiacs, crohns, gastroparesis, IBS, diabetes, parasites, etc. I have a hypothyroid and a mild anxiety disorder, don't drink more than two standard alcoholic drinks a week at most, and have never had an eating disorder or been pregnant. I've also had a few colon/endoscopic exams but they came back negative. Anyone have any ideas what could be going on?
I just actually started up with something like this. Been screwing me up for like 3 months now. Docs do not know whats wrong with me either.
please let me know if you figure anything out. my mom has had the same problems on and off for years (severe stomach pain, nausea, fatigue, weight loss). its so weird because it lasts for months (usually 8-12 months at a time) then she will be okay for a few years. its so bad that she cant get out of bed when she has this. she has had so many tests done that all come back normal. she also has mild anxiety, im not sure if it has much to do with this though because when the onset of this illness arises, nothing stressful in her life was going on.
