3 month tobacco free. I have been a smoker for 35 years and about a pack a day.I  Still have anxiety issues and wondering is there any relief in the future. Help

I smoked for 28 years and developed anxiety after quitting. It took about a year for it to get better. 17 months now and it's 90% better. It took a while but everyone is different.

Having an anxiety after quitting smoking is one of the tobacco or nicotine withdrawal symptoms. And the duration varies from person to person. It becomes severe if you have a history of major depressive illness. You can do some things to distract you from having too much stress, like do things you most enjoy and do some physical exercises. Have time for relaxation or talk to a friend or family member.

Did you take any meds for your anxiety ? I am at three months trying to push through without antidepressants ....
