Anyone had Labiaplasty?

My period is getting lighter, thank god!!!

Now on day 5, wow time flies!
Walking is uncomfortable, but if I take painkillers ever 3,4 hours its normal.
Still avoiding sitting.
Overall no pain except for discomfort walking without medication.
Really hope the stitches dissolve soon, they're kind of starting to poke.
Or i should beg my doctor to remove them when it has been over a week.
In my experience with ither surgeries, once the stitches are gone, healing goes really fast.

Yes, I agree with you emzone.
I wish I had gotten this sooner and not have felt like a freak.
Even though I am still healing and have swelling there is an immediate improvement.

I am letting them dissolve naturally as you said emzone!

I am now on day 11. No pain or discomfort whatsoever.
Felt and walked normally on day 8-ish.
Everything looks good down there, i dont really see stitches except in the front.
The beginning of my labia has a triangle ish shape, probably due to the stitches still there.
Hope it gets normal!
Other than that, i am feeling good!
After i am healed completely i will get a brazillian wax, which i have been embarrased to get done!

When can i start wiping after toilet use?
I have been washing daily with the antibacterial soap but once a day.
Since i thought soap would irritate it when it is healing.

Actually, i already knew that is was normal, and i already knew about procedures like this, but i told my mom about it, i forgot why, and she didnt understand what i meant so i showed her but she was so weirded out when she saw it so she took me to the doctor.. which actually bothered me cause they told me the same thing i tried to tell her, i was normal. but it's stressful, and honestly, stress has gotten worse since i posted this (not meaning i post this and things start going wrong, just that in that time span its gotten worse). everyone in my house is so angry lately cause its hard to control my anger so i've been emotional. i don't even know if i want to do this anymore because of how emotional i've been. No, my boyfriend has never said anything to me about it, he says he's seen worse, i know he's lying though, cause i can see it in his face. plus sometimes when im upset about it and he doesn't know, he'll try to be all touchy, and i'll say "stop i'm disgusting and i know i am" or something along the lines of that, and he just doesn't say anything. whenever he does that if im saying something about me is bad, then it means he's just trying not to say anything mean but doesnt want to lie. hah.. long relationships teach you a bit. he doesnt seem to let it get to him.. but i know he doesn't like it, my whole appearance falling into that. cause tbh, i'm no where near being something a guy would just look at and even say "she's pretty" but i guess im not ugly either? but yea.. hes never said anything, but that's not the point.. i want my own opinion about myself to be positive, and i know he'd like it better regardless. 

I am much much better but the whole process of healing took 8,9 days until I could walk without pain.
but it was worth it, its much smaller now and am happy with the results.
Some stitches still havent dissolved yet but I think things will get much better looking with time.

it has been a month and a half since the surgery.

so thats only 6 weeks - give it 3 more weeks and u will b completely back to normal x

Hi, I read your post and I wanted to know how you are doing now? I'm considering having this done but was concerned by your story. Do you know which technique you had? I hope things have gotten better and you are out of pain. Would love to hear from you. Thank you..

i had mine done 8 days ago, i still suffer bad pain on urinating so now i make sure i have a jug of warm water to pour on whilst having a pee. this takes the sting off. im lumpy and bumpy but im sure this will reduce and calm down eventually. sex is out of the question until i am out of pain. i take pain killers twice a day to take the edge off the pain. i am over the moon with my new look vagina nd sure the out come will be well worth the pain and inconvenience.

hi lumpy - im suprised no-one told u to pour warm water wen u first had it done - i needed to do that for the first 4 days and had salt in the water to help with the healing process. im also suprised u are still in pain 8 days on - i only needed 2 pain killers and then apart from a dull ache was fine. dont have sex for at least 7 weeks to ensure u are completly healed. u r lumpy and bumpy cos of stitches, which will calm down once they disolve - prob next couple of days. hope u feel betta pain wise soon x

I read on this thread from someone a few years back that stitches pulled apart because in perineum area. I just had 5 days ago and surgeon cut much further down then necesscary. 3 days ago when going to bathroom, mine pulled part on one side (the side that was not even necessary that far down) and just continued up the entire stitch line. Extreme swelling followed. Twice what was already swollen.  Was feeling great at day 2. Now at 5 I'm worse then ever. 

Has anyone had this happen and if so was there scarring fom pulling apart? Surgeon said stitches still there. They look to be, but wored that trauma to an already healing area may have made thi worse.

Pain is still bad. Left side keeps opening up on half the suture line, scabbing over and then coming off bleeding again. I'm hoping for some end in sight. Not having bm either since afraid will bother more.

I had labiaplasty 12 days ago.  I was hesitant about the surgery because of the recovery process.  I am surprised it has not been bad at all.  The first day was the worst where I had to take two Norco.  After that, just Motrin controlled the pain.  I had the procedure done on Monday. Tuesday and Wednesday had movie marathons in bed (using ice with 20 mins on/off).  Up to my normal routine on Thursday.  Back to work as a nurse on Saturday. The only real discomfort was getting into and out of the car. I still have some swelling but it has improved tremendously. The stitches are starting to dissolve so I'm having mild itching.  Even with the swelling, I am pleased with the results.   I felt like a freak before and couldn't enjoy being intimate because I was so self conscience. I wish I would have done this years ago!!!

ditto rn!! i waited 20 years and im like a new woman - i took 10 days off work (med secretary), as in addition to op i also had my episiotomy scar sorted - didnt know she had done this until i woke up!
