I had a CT scan with contrast done today and the doctors office called me quickly with results leaving me confused and obviously anxious. I have anxiety so I am scared like crazy. History: I drink a lot of soda or did. I had a four week bout with Ibuprofen I was taking for my back. Now it appears I have diverticulosis, an enlarged prostate gland and thickening of the bladder wall with some lymph nodes swollen. Also they noticed some fatty deposits on my liver. I am not a huge drinker, social at most, once a week, on Saturdays, maybe 5-6 beers. I have no blood in urine and no pain in prostate area or bladder area. I have been suffering from constant bloating for the last five weeks.
Did you have to drink anything, or did they just inject the dye via IV? Because I tried to do a CT once, where they required I drink a barium solution. I couldn't without throwing up.
