I just had to add a comment on this topic. I hate it when I see women who dislike their breasts because of large areolas....even considering surgery!
As with everything in life, it's all about personal preference. Some like them, some won't but I think you can see from the posts here, there are a lot of guys who love large areolas. Find us.
Personally, they are my biggest turn on!....particularly on smallish breasts. For me, the most erotic thing I can think of from a physical standpoint is a woman with smallish to medium sized elongated breasts with very large areolas (rose or brownish in color). It makes me crazy with desire. I have no idea why...it's just always been so. I'm always looking for them the first time I'm with a woman...unfortunately, I seem to have a knack for finding smaller ones :-( I've never been lucky enough to find the sizes some indicated on this tread. Go figure! Some lucky boyfriends and husbands out there!

I've always been very self conscious of my large areolae. I'm not crazy about them. I know self acceptance is key. Why do we see small areolae on Hollywood movies? I've never seen large areolae in a mainstream film. Hollywood is trying to set the tone of what is deemed attractive when it comes to areolae and of course breast size.
