Hi, I’m hoping to get some more info on what might be causing the symptoms my husband is suffering from almost for a year now. The first it started by him saying he feels wired tingling in his right arm, but it very soon became so frequent that his arm was in pain. We went and saw our family doctor who couldn’t find anything but he prescribed him Naproxen and told us to see a neurologist. We finally got that appointment and even though we’re still waiting for the CT scan results, even the neurologist can’t give us any diagnosis yet. All he told us that something is pressuring the nerve that’s causing the arm pain, but the more I look online I’m more and more afraid that these symptoms are caused by Pancoast tumor which would mean my husband has lung cancer. I don’t know if it’s possible, he doesn’t have any problems with breathing.

Hello, I am sorry to hear your husband is experiencing such pain.  I do not believe it could be lung cancer since you said he doesn't have any problems breathing.  Does he cough a lot or cough anything up when he does?  If the primary doctor assessed him, he would have picked up something unusual when listening to his lung sounds possibly.  I am pretty sure from the symptoms of tingling in his arm that it could be a pinched nerve.  Did they rule out a torn rotator cuff?

Has anyone else had similar symptoms and would like to share their experience?

My husband has a pancoast tumor. Took them a year to dx, and several drs. From GP, to neurologist, to surgeon. PetScan is how it was found. I'll chat more & at length if you respond. FB would be easier. Let me know.

Hi, I have many symptoms of a pancoast tumor and am wondering what symptoms your husband had and if they did a ct scan with contrast? I'm very nervous that i may have this.
Hope your husband is doing well.
thanks
