i took provera for 3 months after having my left ovary, tube, and a mass removed. i had alot of the side effects it had. headaches, swelling, panic attacks, sleepless nights, high blood pressure, no periods. be careful my doc had to take me off of this and put me on birth control. all of my symptoms went away after
I took prometrium (also a progesterone product, but in a gel capsule) for 5 days to bring on menses, then started a monitored clomid cycle. Just had an IUI last week--still waiting. However I'm now taking the prometrium as a vaginal suppository (as directed by my RE) to encourage lining thickness.

I'm currently trying for my second child my first was a 3 yr waiting period i had 2 tubals and one misscarriage. Thank God i didnt lose my tube but i so understand how u feel my periods are like clock work so i started with just the clomid, one pill a day for 5 days starting on the 3rd day of my cycle. I got pregant on the 3rd month on clomid with my son it was hard work but so worth it. Now we started trying for another baby 2 yrs ago in april i started the clomid again in december got pregant in febuary and miscarried again and now im on my third month of clomid tomorrow will be my last pill we hope this works this time. My dr thinks that i only ovulate every 3 or 4 months anyways. everytime ive gotten pregant its always been on the 3rd month on clomid i just pray for no more than 2 im 33 yrs old and my husband is 37 and our son will soon be 3 yr if im not pregant or had one by the time im 35 ill just thank God for the wonderful gift he has given my and maybe try to adopte PLEASE REMEMBER that everthing happens for a reason you may not understand what or why right now but u will one day it will become clear I hope that u all get blessed with what u want just dont give up hope or faith. What is the reason for taking these pills? Is it because your not ovulating? or is it because you are having trouble conceving? Just wondering....
Sad6661, the reason for taking the pills are to address trouble conceiving. The provera/prometrium (progesterone) are for bringing on menses and/or thinkening your uterine lining. The clomid is a fertility drug to help you ovulate.

THE CLOMID, ON THE OTHER HAND, IS TO MAKE YOU OVULATE AND RELEASE AN EGG FOR FERTILIZATION...
I took provera and clomid since my periods were irregular and we are ttc.My period was supposed to come on Aug 1st. I missed it and took HPT. It was negative.after a week i got spottings. on aug 26 it increased as my period. I had heavy flow with clots. It didnt stop till Sep 14. today flow reduced a bit. Doctor suggested me to take provera. i am starting it tomorrow.

hi,everyone, i am new to this so please bar with me ok...i have been TTC for 2 yrs now and now luck :'( my problem is i have an irregular period, i have 2 periods a year, so my doctor put me on provera 10mg for 10 days & Clomid 50mg for 5 days, i am a little confuse with both clomid and provera, i would like to know how long after my last pill of provera will my period will stay? and how many days after my period should i stay taking Clomid? and How many day after my last pill of clomid should i stay have sex? plz help %-)

i have a question i started taken provera on dec 1st do i start taken clomid today or tomorrow ? it saids to take one tablet of provera for 10 days and clomid take one every day for 5 days starting day 5 of cycle this is my first time taken this plzzzzzzzzz help
In my case I was to take Provera for 5 days, wait for my cycle, first day of bleeding is day 1...then Clomid days 5-9 of my cycle. I took my Clomid today...Hope this helps...Wish me luck :-D
I am starting Provera. I was told to take take 1 pill (10mg) for 10 days. I am supposed to call them when I get my period. Then Day 3, get blood work and U/S. Start Clomid Day 4-8. Get blood work and U/S Day 14. Then get a subcutaneous inject of HCG and then get IUI (artificial insemination) after 2 days. This is all so confusing and stressful. I hope it works.
