Anyone know anything about this rare adverse reaction to the metal used in hip resurfacing? Apparently it causes localised inflammation, leading to soft tissue (nerve and muscle) damage and to elevated levels of ions in the blood. I've just been diagnosed with this, am scheduled for a revision operation in a few weeks and am desperate for any more information.
