Audible heartbeat - even to other people !!

I exactly the same thing, a squeaking heartbeat sometimes, not very related to exersices but I noticed it's more position relating and trigger by clenching my stomach too! Do you still have this? I have also a mitral valve prolapse with a micro leak.

Hi I'm a medical Dr from Australia, I've had loud exercise induced heart beat for some years, it also happens in some positions over night. I've finally found a reason for mine, it's aortosternal venous compression. It specifically happens you breath deeply my aorta gets pressed against my sternum, blocking the venous return from my left brachiocephalic vein. There is a backlog of blood that gives my heart heaps of extra load. As it squirts out of my heart at higher pressure it transfers the pulse through my sternum. Feeling really terrible and making quite a forceful regular thud. It is important that for this, the pulse reduces in intensity every beat until the backlog normalises.
It has increased risk with neck masses, like big a thymus, some bony constrictions and an aberrant subclavian artery.
I can also induce it with positional change if I lie on my left side, filling the left brachiocephalic vein then flip over to my right side letting the blood go.
It's given me insomnia for ages and headaches. I've fashioned a pillow bolster that effectively fixes the insomnia.
I'd really like to talk to people with the condition.

Yes I have. I have pretty good imaging of my vein compression. I'm now seeing a cardiothoracic surgeon to see if he can correct my anatomical anomalies and make it go away.
There is a chance that your partner has had a lymphadenopathic obstruction to this vein post vaccination. It was described only once that I can identify, but was described very well in an article by Littman in 1953. Covid was associated with mononucleosis, so theoretically the vaccine could do the same thing. I think it would be possible for it to have an acute glandular fever sort of response but also a longer term scaring that could cause some real trouble long term (as seen in Littman).
Please contact me on the email above and ill see what I can do, it might be harder to show a node induced constriction but certainly worth a try.

Hi Jess I've done some further reading and can not find any cases of the vaccines causing mononucleosis by them selves. There have been some cases of vaccine reactivating EBV, which could indirectly cause the same thing.
