I am 23 years old and since i was little i could eat basically anything you can imagine up until i was about 18. I was at home and all of a sudden i started having really bad pains in my stomach. i thought it was just gas maybe so i sat in my tub thinking a warm bath would take it away but it only got worst. after an hour the pain started to move to my lower back and it hurt so bad i couldn't walk so i had my mom take me to the ER where they performed a bunch of test and found that i had pancreatitis(sp?). well ever since then i haven't been able to eat meat because it hurts way to much. i tried eating a couple bites of chicken with no skin n dry to the bone thinking maybe it was the fat that was the problem. but, not even a half hour later i was in the same pain just not as bad as the first time. the next day i started feeling crappy so i went tot he doctors n the doctor told me that i had an infection but she didn't know from what. i am thinking maybe its from meat. i have been told by many people that it may be my gallbladder but i have been to tons of different doctors since n i have got mixed reviews from them. i was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if so did they get it fixed and how cause i find myself kind of losing hope on this subject and i wanna be able to actually go places and not feel like a bur din because i cant eat certain things and i love meat!!! lol
It really does sound like your Gallbladder. I was 16 when I had mine taken out and when I was 18 I was also diagnosed with Pancreatitis. I am in school in the medical feild and did lots of research on that area. your gallbladder helps you digest food as does your pancrease. the galbladder stores the bile that the liver makes. and your pancreas also helps your blood sugar levels. by any chance do you have problems stabilizing your blood sugar? I have trouble with meat too. I have considered meat substitues and all that but can't bring myself to do it. can you tell me where your pain is? chest, back, lower or upper stomach? do any other foods set you off. please get back with me and let me know if you get anywhere with the doctors

They had me for a while going to the doctors every 3 months because my cholesterol was sky high n they told me that i had genetic hyperlipidemia but the past couple times i have gone all my levels were normal. the pain is my right upper and lower back and my lower left side of my back and in the front my whole right side. i have been watching what i eat because i have noticed that some foods trigger the pain n the pain is unbearable and it last from 10 minutes to a half hour. i havent been able to pin point exactly what foods set it off cause i dont eat the same things when it happens.
