I have had chronic back pain for 3 months now. Ive got pain in my T6-T10 joint. Ive seen a chiropractor and had a massage for it. This has not helped. The Dr. wants to do a Rhizotomy which burns the nerve in the back to certain joints. She thinks this will help the pain.

Does anyone know about this?

Does anyone know if having a rib out of place truly happens?

I am probably too late but here it goes. First the doctor gave the area to be burned novacaine. Just to see if it would help. It did. Went back 2 weeks later to have the actual procedure done on one side. It didn't work. I am in as much pain as when I went in the first time. Other people I talked to there in his office praised the procedure. It gave them a new and better life. Me, I don't know what went wrong and I am awaiting my return appointment.

I have been getting them for several years. People vary in the length they last. Know one guy had relief for 4 years, me it is about 6 months. But it gives me relief without worrying about being paralyzed by a surgeon. Love them.
