I had Belspalsy four years ago, i was told steroids was the only thing (as well as facial exercises) to shift it. Sure enough within a week i began to improve. Sympoms such as slurred speech, drooping lip and unable to close your eye (resulting in continual water flow out of the eye) began to rectify itself. I dont know if steroids are a cure for belspalsy, it certainly worked for me, but i'm sure every case is different.
