This works!!! I have been addicted to opiates for going on 6 years now. I've done everything from loratabs, to herion in needles, to Suboxone and Subutex. I started this three days ago and have not had one withdrawl symptom yet. I was willing to try anything. I am about to have a child and needed to get my life straightened out. I started with 20 of the antidiarrhea pills, and like it says above, just took another 10 or so in the same 24 hours if I felt any other symptoms. I can't thank y'all enough for posting this. And I can't think God enough for me finding this. I am sharing it with anyone and everyone that I know that has an addiction problem. Good luck to anyone else and thank you.

15 years on Perc 10's and Lortab 10's  12 to 16 per day every day, no breaks.   My luggage was "lost" at the Atlanta airport which had ALL my meds inside.   When I landed all I had on me was 30-40 Percocet 10's and NO luggage.    Next day, nothing, I was desperate and was forced to take my connecting flight to the FL Keys...without my luggage and meds.

When I landed in Florida, my first stop was CVS where I purchased 240 anti-diarrheal 2mg tabs, light green in color and a carton of milk.   I was in deep withdrawal - all the classic symptoms.

I counted out 24 of the pills and downed them with the carton of milk, no immediate relief, as I was pulling into the hotel, they kicked in.    It felt as if I had taken a couple of my #10's - all my symptoms melted away and I actually felt pretty good.

Next day, I get a phone call from Atlanta, my luggage was located and would be in Florida the next day.    That afternoon, I took 12 more anti-diarrhea pills and felt "OK" all things considering.   I slept fine, and very few actual noticable symptoms.

So, my experience with Loperamide is "it works" - I did dive into my pills once my luggage was delivered, but for 2-1/2 days of zero pain meds cold turkey, Loperamide definitely saved me from some serious withdrawals.

Yes Loperamide works. So dose Kratom too. Well the thing is, it takes a long time, and you really have to work hard at it, but Kratom can be Addictive. Now I have done everything from IV H. to smoking Fent Packes, you name it. Hell I grew my own poppies, and produced my own goodies a few times. I have been using Kratom for years. to kick dope habbits. Well It would get to the point I never would give it a break. I was ether on Kratom, or some kind of opiate. Thats what got me years of using Kratom like this got me addicted to Kratom. I tell you what once I got hooked on Kratom, it was wourse than H. by far. Its got its own screaming tourcherous WDs. They are diffrent than any opiate, I have incountered. I mean I can tell the difrence between a tar WD. and a china White, WD. Or Oxy. I have kicked them all. Kratom was a bear I was not prepared for. Most folks would never have a problem with Kratom, but those folks did not put nearly as much time into abusing Kratom, as I did. I abused it for about 6 years. Kratom was my Lopeeramide.lol. Well I just recently decided, I am going to kick all this BS. I started tapering down from Kratom, untill I got down to 4 home made capsules every 8 hours a day. It took months to get there. Well on even 4 pills I would spend 4 hours ok, and the other 4 hours watching the clock, in sever pain. I would like to add I am not putting Kratom down. Its very benifecial for most people. Was for me, for years. Untill one day. Now I had been hearing about the loperamide thing for years too. Didnt need it, I had Kratom. Well Now I am on 30 2mg Loperamide, and it has killed all the Kratom Wds. Yes, Loperamide will also work on Kratom. I started out on 40 pills about 3 days ago, and have worked my way down to 30. I take mine all at once, every 24 hours, at noon. I just have been cutting 3 or 4 pills out each day. We will see how that goes. If I need to slow down, or spead up, Ill do so acordingly. I just want ed to add this, Because thre is alot of threads out there about Kratom addiction, but not much advice about what to do about it. Most folks seem to get addicted to the extracts, they are really strong. I just want everyone to know Loperamide works on Kratom withdrawals too. Much love.

I doubt your w/ds are from the loperamide specifically. Most likely, you still have the original opiate being released from your fat cells. It can take about a month to get over that hurdle, depending on how long you took the opiates. You may try splitting your loperamide over two doses, 12 hours apart. Loperamide has a little over 10 hour half life. 30 lopes per day is how much I took for a seven year opiate habit.

Kratom can be a good path for getting oneself off of opiates. Our clients have been successful in handling their pain and W Bs. Our recent customer detoxed from H using Lush Bang Baru.

I was a heroin addict from 1979-1987. I did cold turkey 50 times. If you don't have your mental health fixed you will never get clean. I tried methadone and it is more addicting than heroin. I could not kick the methadone and had to go back over to H and then I got clean.

When I took the loperamide for tramadol withdrawals (400 mg a day for a year), I took them at night before I went to sleep the day of my last tramadol dosage. It worked great. I didn't wake up with the craving for tramadol. I took more loperamide mid-morning, mid afternoon and evening. I took it for only two more days and just didn't need it any longer. I had cold turkeyed off tramadol before and it was days and days of hell. This was a godsend. I feel like I got lucky, and I am definitely not getting any more tramadol. What's interesting is that tramadol withdrawal usually carries months of PAWS with it. This did NOT happen to me with the loperamide method. This I don't understand as I know there isn't any staying in the brain. . .I wasn't taking more than 60 mg. a day. Maybe I'm just different. Or just lucky.

Imodium DOES work for withdrawals. It may not work for everyone. It may not work the same for everyone. But it does work. I use it in between scripts. Usually just one-two days. I have an almost 100mg per day Norco habit that is just getting worse. I also am prescribed Tramodol 50mg that I use to use as a taper off of the Norco but that has now become part of the problem. Anyway. I have to take 40 or more Imodium pills to really help. I've tried less and it seems like less than 40 does nothing but 40 or more helps a great deal. But if there is one thing I can say to anyone who happens to be on here who hasn't gone to a full blown addiction yet... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE just stop right now. Pain pills are NOT worth it. Use a high strength Motrin or Aleve for your pain. If you ABSOULTELY have to go on a narcotic please use it as directed. Please stop after the pain stops if possible. If I could go back to when my doctor was writing me a Vicodin script I would... And I would say "NO THANKS!". It truly consumes your life. I am able to function and hold down a job and take care of my kids but if I don't have one of my pills all hell breaks loose, internally anyways. I get anxious. I start thinking about where I can get just a couple of pills from. There is a huge difference in my attitude when I have a new script... And when I'm almost out. It's not fun. I plan to get off of these sometime. But I am not mentally ready yet. I would not wish pain killer addiction on my worse enemy. Good luck to all!

I read this earlier today while in the throws of withdrawal from my pain meds. I take 150mg of oxycodone a day ( 30mg 5x a day ) and have for 3 years. I ran short this month due to being too nice and lending some to a friend who disappeared off the face of the earth when it came time to pay me back. I ran out 2 days ago and don't fill again for 5 more days. I took several Imodium and it helped me greatly. Fortunately my lil brother came by an hour ago and gave me 20 30s to help me get by. But for those wondering. This does help!
