I am intending to make some herbal capsules myself, but all the capsules I have seen so far contain gelatin, which is obviously not vegetarian friendly. Are there any people here who encapsulate their own stuff? Would you share any veg friendly capsules you might know of? I would be really grateful for any suggestions!
I recently found these on the web - http://www.vrg.org/nutshell/faqingredients.htm.
I have to add that I have not yet tried them myself, but we are planning to in three months time, when I am due with my fourth baby. We plan to encapsulate the placenta, after dehydrating it, using these capsules. They have absolutely no meat based products in them, so I think they meet your requirements as well.

Dear Filip106,
You are so correct concerning Gelatin capsules, not only are they manufactured from Gelatin that is produced from animal rendering plants that reduce dead animals into " glue" sorta speak, but what may even concern you and others who may not even be Vegans is the fact that Gelatin Capsules contain up to 15% of their weight in MSG.
Considering that even amounts as low as 0.3 gr of MSG, or Glutamate acid, can and does cause visable sysmptoms and allergy type reations. Please also consider colorants. Many of the "colored" empty capsules that can be purchased online, or from other sources contain red, and blue dyes along with titanium dioxide. Matter of fact one colored size 00 empty capsule contains as much or more red dye than a big tall glass of kool-aid.
