For about two weeks now i've had this HORRIBLE pain in my throat. I wasn't sure what it was or why, so I looked down my throat and saw this huge lump on the right side, in the far back part of my throat (i got my tonsils removed, so it's not them.). I stuck my finger my mouth (in desperation, it's gross I know.) and felt it, on one part theres even a slight edge on it. The pain can get so bad it hurts my right ear, and it hurts when I swallow. I don't want to go to the doctors if it's nothing and will go away soon. Anybody have any ideas? Thank you!
You may have symptoms of throat cancer. Your condition appears to be serious, and is unlikely to go away by itself. See an otolaryngologist for further evaluation as soon as possible. Heavy smoking, the use of chewing tobacco, and alcohol consumption can increase a person's chance of getting throat cancer.
