Hi,
I'm a 17 y/o virgin (of all kinds of sex). Yesterday I got a large lump on the inside of my labia, and it hurts like hell. It broke today, and bloody/weird smelling liquidy pus came out.
I currently have my period, and this is really freaking me out. A couple weeks ago, I had my first gyno visit and it seemed a little rushed. Could the doctor have missed something like this?
You may have a bartholin's gland cyst. I had one of these when I was 17 and it hurt like hell. I didn't have a chance to get to the GYN as I was going out of town, but my primary care doctor gave me 2 shots of antibiotic over 2 days (one each day) and then prescribed and internal cream that I had to use for a week. It reduced the pain dramatically.

I think that the GYN can actually cut the gland a little to promote drainage, and place and strip of antibacterial stuff in there so that it heals properly.

The most important thing is to go to the doctor to have it properly diagnosed. If a bartholin's glad cyst is what you have, don't worry. All will be O.K. and the pain will go away once treated.
